Tour Summary:

Discover Singapore through the buildings and urban spaces that have shaped its identity. Begin in the Civic District, where the Padang is surrounded by some of the city’s most important colonial-era landmarks, including Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall and the former Parliament House.

Continue to the National Gallery Singapore, housed within the former City Hall and Supreme Court, two monumental civic buildings that have been carefully transformed for a new purpose. Nearby, explore CHIJMES, where a former convent complex has been restored as a dining and lifestyle destination, before visiting the historic Raffles Hotel, one of Singapore’s best-known colonial landmarks.

The tour then moves towards the modern waterfront, where the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay and Marina Bay Sands demonstrate a very different chapter in Singapore’s architectural development. Complete the experience in Tanjong Pagar, where conserved shophouses sit beneath modern towers, creating one of the clearest examples of old and new Singapore existing side by side.
